JOB SUMMARY:

• MUST have 8 years of professional experience in construction industry risk management
• MUST have experience within a risk management department of a corporation

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Interacts with estimating and operations personnel to determine project specific insurance requirements
• Obtain and administer loss sensitive insurance coverage's for large joint venture construction projects, and will administer existing master liability and property programs
• Deals with insurance brokers and carriers to obtain project specific insurance quotations
• Evaluates and advises project personnel of most appropriate insurance coverage's, including pricing
• Interacts with joint venture partners to coordinate insurance requirements
• Administers, monitors and reports on status of existing large loss sensitive insurance programs
• Interfaces with financial personnel regarding financial status of existing insurance programs
• Supervises administration of property and casualty insurance claims, including handling of large claims
• Responsibilities require that RM be thoroughly familiar with large deductible and retrospectively rated loss sensitive insurance programs. RM must also be thoroughly familiar with worker's compensation, general liability, professional liability, builder's risk, pollution liability, financial risk, and other forms of insurance coverage.

Education:

• BA in Business
• Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation or equivalent is a plus
