Our client, a not-for-profit
organization with over 400,000 members, was incorporated on 1939.
More than 15 years ago they decided to form an agency in conjunction
with one of the largest brokers in the U.S. to offer affordable
commercial and personal lines insurance to their members. The agency
has grown to 34 employees. The President will oversee and be
responsible for the agency’s P&L. But the main focus will be to grow
the book from approximately 30,000 Property and GL policies (and
some personal lines policies) using telemarketing, direct mail and E
Business channels as well as speaking engagements to members.
Therefore, high energy with a heavy background (7+ years minimum) in
marketing and business development, preferably to a captive, member
group is a “must have.” Candidates with a career in Direct Marketing
with Call Center experience to a member group will be given
preference. Candidates with light or no staff management experience
will be considered since the agency has experienced staff capable of
handling the day-to-day operations.
There will be a maximum of 25% travel and telecommuting is not an
option, you must reside there. Salary into 6 figures, a bonus plan,
relocation (no real estate buyout options are included) and all the
standard benefits are offered DOE.

are licensed in 46 states with over $550 million in policyholder
surplus. They are a leader in product development and claims
handling within the changing face of the transportation industry.
Due to growth they have an immediate opening for a Product
Development Manager.
The Product Development Manager will be responsible for the
development, management and monitoring of business products. Duties
include:
- Designing and developing
assigned products through a formal business plan.
- Pricing and underwriting
positions for products.
- Planning, budgeting and
forecasting for assigned products.
- Consistently and effectively
interfacing with other departments to attain goals.
- Providing competitive analysis
and knowledge of the market including information on competitors,
regulatory, judicial and legal issues.
- Monitoring production and
profitability of assigned products.
Candidates for consideration
should have a Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience and a
minimum of 5 years experience as a Product Manager for a Property &
Casualty insurance carrier is required. A teamwork attitude and
exceptional organization skills are a must.

white to be specific. They need to add to staff. Candidates must
possess detailed and thorough knowledge of all aspects of the
Appliance and Electronics warranty marketplace including
underwriting, compliance, marketing and retailing and manufacturing.
Key components of this position are:
- Ability to build and maintain
personal relationships with clients and TPA’s at all levels.
- Ability to direct the Account
Management Group to achieve required results.
- Ability to analyze, interpret
and explain underwriting and actuarial results to client groups.
