insurance carrier seeks an experienced underwriting executive to
direct its commercial underwriting department.
Under the general direction of the Senior Vice President, you will
lead and direct all operations related to Commercial Underwriting
and deliver business results through effective and efficient
utilization of underwriting resources. Responsibilities include
overall strategic oversight and leadership direction within
Commercial Underwriting Operations functions and working closely
with all other operations Directors to achieve optimal results.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration or related field; OR 4 years of relevant
experience, OR a combination of college education and relevant
experience equivalent to 4 years of college.
- Ten years of experience in P&C
insurance Commercial Underwriting.
- Five years
supervisory/managerial experience in P&C Commercial Underwriting
Insurance Operations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- MBA or CPCU, AIC, PLCA or CLCS
designation.
Twelve + years progressively responsible experience in P&C
Insurance Commercial Underwriting.
- Prior experience in all lines
of P&C Insurance Underwriting, including management experience in
at least two specialized disciplines (Personal Lines Property,
Commercial Lines Property, Personal Lines Liability, Commercial
Lines Liability).
- Practical understanding of the
Florida legal environment.

underwrite professional liability brokerage products in the
Southeast Region to include reviewing, analyzing, accepting, and

candidate will communicate with underwriting management and product
line leader on individual accounts, current and proposed producers,
and make recommendations concerning operations, systems and
procedures when appropriate. They will review submissions and
identify exposure and risk from information provided; review terms
and conditions and pricing.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five year’s professional
liability underwriting expertise in surplus lines. They will have a
four year college degree and/or RPLU or similar designation
preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills along
with strong analytical and organizational skill are a must.

manage an assigned territory for profit and growth through
demonstrated mastery and application of all areas of agency
management, underwriting, marketing and sales. They must produce
profitable business to support the achievement of the Company growth
goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a four year college degree and/or
equivalent experience. They must have a minimum of six years
demonstrated property/casualty marketing focus on commercial lines
of business. They must have exemplary oral presentation and written
communication skills. Insurance designations such as CPCU or CIC are
preferred. The candidate must maintain a valid drivers’ license and
adhere to Company Fleet Safety Guidelines and must be able to travel
overnight. They will support an average of 45-60 independent

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Bachelors degree in finance,
economics, mathematics, insurance or related discipline.
- Two years minimum experience
with capital markets, reinsurance and catastrophe modeling and
reinsurance pricing analysis.
- Mastery of database management

building and report writing.
