RN – Nurse
Consultant/Case Managers |

Due to proactive
staffing needs, leading P&C Carrier is looking for some experienced
RN – Nurse Consultant/Case Managers for WC claims. In this role,
you will review, assess and evaluate medical information to assist
the claims staff in the claim adjudication process for Workers
Compensation claims dealing with soft tissue injuries. You will be
responsible for determining whether the medical treatment was/is
reasonable or necessary per the injury, develop a claim resolution
strategy with the claim handler and provide medical expertise when
needed by attending mediations, arbitrations, depositions, etc.
Ideal candidates are nurses with strong clinical background with
excellent problem solving skills and analytical skills. Prefer
those to have telephonic case management experience or medical case
review experience either from Home Health setting, Private Practice
or Hospital experience. Those with prior experience working with an
insurance carrier as a Nurse Case Manager are highly desirable.
Candidates should have:

RN Designation –
perhaps will consider those with LPN and wanting to get the RN
Designation.
- Certified
Legal Nurse Consultant desirable.
- Strong
clinical background needed, candidates having current/previous
insurance carrier experience highly desired.
- Knowledge of
jurisdiction- specific medical guidelines desirable.
- Strong
knowledge of medical causation and relatedness and knowledge of
medical treatment and standards of care.
- Must have good
computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Must be
customer service driven.
Salary negotiable based on
experience level.
